Prize winner at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich as recorder player

Foundation of the chamber ensemble CAMERATA KÖLN

First recordings as a soloist with the complete sonatas of Telemann and Handel for the Deutsche Harmonia Mundi label

Beginning of international acitivities as a soloist and chamber musician

 

1980

Appointment as professor at the former "Hochschule der Künste" (now "Universität der Künste") Berlin


1983

Change to the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt/M. as professor for recorder and head of the Department of Early Music

Recordings of nearly the complete baroque recorder repertoire including three versions of the complete recorder concertos by Antonio Vivaldi (1980, 1990, 2009), the complete concertos and sonatas by Georg Philipp Telemann, the Brandenburg Concertos by J.S. Bach (with "Musica Antiqua Cologne"), a box of 8 CDs with an anthology of baroque recorder music plus one of 6 CDs with baroque recorder concerti
