Premiere recording of the only extant opera by this highly important german-french composer of symphonies. The libretto is by Pietro Metastasio and has also been used the same year by Joseph Haydn ("L'Isola disabitata").

Premiere recording of a newly discovered ample Serenata composed for a wedding. It can justly claim a seat of honour next to JS Bach's wedding cantatas. Two more solo cantatas by Telemann revolving around the theme of Love complete the CD, among which is the famous "Weiberorden" (Order of Women").
